Christians: Why does God say that he will slaughter beloved children?
The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)
Simply put..they will bring this destruction on themselfs if they dont abide in Gods Word......They will seperate themselves from God...and then the Kingdoms around them will slaughter them............God didnt have to....they gave themselves over to the enemy by...walking away from GOD !! And the prophet was saying it would have been best there was no children then to be slaughtered ........It was Israel's Disobedience that bought things upon them.........
For God said this and it was true then and still is today
THIS DAY I LAY BEFORE YOU A BLESSING AND A CURSE !!
A Blessing if you do my will ( follow His Word)
A curse if you do it not ( disobey Gods Word )
As then so is now...when we refuse to listen to Truth and abide in it and it in us...........then Trouble comes..and always by our own doing...........
But if we will harken to Gods Word which is the only Truth...
then shall we be blessed and protected........
And God is HOLY..and is Righteous............and will not / can not , uphold sin...no matter how great or how small............
Not then and not Now !!!
